Refractions Magazine Issue 4, May 2014 on Flickr.
"You know what!? I will have an interview and couple of my photos featured in the magazine!" I told my wife the day when Andrew Wurster, one of the editors of the Refractions Magazine, offered me to feature in this publication. I was so happy, excited and so proud! Wow!
So, I would like to share a link to the Refractions Magazine May 2014 issue. It is published on Blurb.
And here is the link to the magazine website: refractionphotos.net/
Thanks a lot to Andrew and other guys who does this activity in their free time. It is a huge reward for me. And it is a little miracle to see photos from Flickr actually doing it to the “real world”. It is just a fraction of the never ending flow of millions of images uploaded to Flickr every hour and every minute to the Flickr. And to other photography sites, even on Facebook. But it so important!
So, I am ordering a copy from Blurb. My wife wants to show it to her friends. I want to show it to my friends and family.
Thanks again. And thanks to all the people I follow here on Flickr. It is a fantastic source of inspiration and wonderful community! That’s why I like Flickr so much! Despite new graphics and changes….Community!

Cotton Mill on Flickr.
Frýdek-Místek, ul. Nadrazni, Czech Republic
Despite the protests of citizen of the city this old cotton mill, which is situated in the city center, is being demolished these days. I had signed a petition against the demolishion, but private owner obviously has a different plan. There very tendencies to include this building to the cultural heritage list and protect it. But unsucesfully.
This week, a grafitti sign appeared on this corrugated fence (after this picture was taken) saying somehing like “killers of history”.
